                        Package for Mobile Presenters

                        LAS VEGAS, June 13, 2001, INFOCOMM, Booth #17054 —
                        SANYO Fisher Company's Presentation Technologies
Division, whose parent company is one of the world's
largest manufacturers of LCD projectors, adds the
PLC-XW20 to its line-up of micro-mobile LCD projectors.
Weighing just over five pounds, the PLC-XW20 combines
                        portability with unmatched performance and
compatibility, providing mobile presenters an overall
                        low total cost of ownership.
With a price tag of just
                        $4,995 (MSRP), the 5.7-pound PLC-XW20 uses a powerful
150-watt UHP lamp to produce a striking 1100 ANSI lumens
while supporting a native XGA 1024 x 768 resolution and
300:1 contrast ratio to project clear, detailed,
high-quality images from 30 to 200 inches diagonally.
Adding functionality to its feature set, the new unit
also comes with component video inputs and a newly
developed digital RGB matrix IC, making possible the
connection of DVD players (Y/Cb/Cr) and HDTV source
material (Y/Pb/Pr) through a single connection.
                        Furthermore, the new unit
features SANYO's digital keystone correction feature,
which compensates for angled projector placement,
correcting trapezoidal images directly on the screen as
well as a new whisper quiet fan that produces an
amazingly low fan noise level of just 39 dB.
                        "SANYO's PLC-XW20
bundles 'big' projector features into a lightweight,
compact and affordable package," said Mark Holt,
senior sales manager, SANYO Presentation Technologies.
"Mobile presenters everywhere will benefit from the
                        ease-of-use, portability, presentation quality and
                        features of the PLC-XW20."
                        The PLC-XW20 uses SANYO's
new aspheric mirror optical system, resulting in
crystal-clear, incredibly bright images not typically
found in projectors of this size. In addition, Sanyo's
                        proprietary Automatic Uniformity Correction Controller
ensures a uniform projection, improving uneven color and
brightness of images corner to corner.
                        Moreover, the new unit
offers a one-button auto imaging feature, allowing
seamless setup; an image pause function, enabling users
to remove an image from the screen while retaining their
place within a presentation; a wireless remote with
mouse pad; HDTV compatibility, accepting the 1080i,
                        1035i, 720p, 575p, 575i, 480p and 480i resolution
                        standards; and international compatibility, supporting
six color systems including PAL, PAL-M, PAL-N, SECAM,
                        NTSC and NTSC4.43.
                        The projector is backed
by a three-year part and labor warranty as well as a
90-day warranty on the lamp and will be available in
October 2001 through SANYO's national network of
                        professional audiovisual dealers.
